casino chip
the casino chip i am using is from the motor city casino. its about the size of a silver dollar and weighs 9.3 grams. the chip, or check as it is sometimes refered to in poker, is white in color making it a one dollar chip. directly in the center of the chip is what i believe to be a sticker. the sticker has motorcity written in the same style as it appears on their building and casino is written underneath motorcity, although its about a fifth of the size to bring more attention to the name of the casino. underneath where casino is written, the chip value appears which shows it is a dollar chip approximately the same size as motorcity. the sticker itself is slightly larger than a quarter. a quarter covers the center of the sticker where the writing and design is located. the design is a picture of approximately 5 car tail lights at night time taken from a distance. there is a white border on the sticker about an eigth of an inch thick. on the edge of the chip are four markings that look like they were made by a marker. two are green and are placed on opposite ends of each other while the other two are black and located opposite each other. the chip is made of clay and feels hard but light in weight. it is about an eighth of an inch thick with 90 degree angles so you can stand it up on the edge. chips make a very distinct sound when they come in contact with each other. this noise is hard to explain but it is sort of high pitch.

playing cards
casino playing cards are very similar to cards you can find at your local gas station with a small difference. poker casino cards are made of a different type of material which allows them to be more flexable. they need to be flexable because poker players tend to bend them, especially at the corners so near by players can't get a look at what your holding. a poker deck contains 52 cards that are slightly smaller than a 3 inch by 5 inch notecard, but much thinner in width. when all 52 cards are stacked on top of each other the deck is as thick as a dimes diameter. a deck consists of 4 different suits, 13 cards per each suit. the cards in order of strongest to weakest are ace, king, queen, jack, and then numbered from 10 to 2, to finish out the suit. this is the pattern for all four suits. the suits are clubs, hearts, diamonds, and spades. on one side of the card reads motorcity casino and the other side has the cards value on it. the value appears by showing what ever number the card is located in the upper left and bottom right corners of the card along with the same amount of suits. for example the ten of diamonds has ten diamonds printed on it. and the king through jack is represented with a picture of what the card is like a king for a king, queen for queen, and jack for jack. however the corners don't spell out king, there is just a K to represent it. the cards are stiff while at rest but flexible when used. seperately cards don't make much noise but shuffled together can sound like a slapping noise.
